Wilfried Broekman
Being a music and rhythm addict since the day I was born.
The whole damn thing started when I was about ten.
Actually Billion Dollar Babies was that damn thing.
Spent every Saturday morning in the local record store to listen to the album and watch this beautiful cover.
After buying the album I soon figured out: “I’m a drummer”.
I made my own drumsticks out of two pieces of wood and started pounding on pillows and about all the furniture.
Yet it took about 4 years before I felt the need for a drumkit.
After buying a second hand kit I immediately started to play along with every album I owned
With Peart, Phillips, Cobham and a great deal of other drummers being my teacher, I felt the urge to be part of a band and so I did. With a wide variety of bands like Mindscape, Medallion, My brother Jake and a lot of coverbands I've been in and out of studio's and playing drums on a lot of stages across the country. In the beginning of 2006 I finally had the o
pportunity to get work outside of Holland. In may 2006 I joined the US based rock-act The Cotton Soeterboek Band.
Blessed with the talent of using every limb as being a individual of its own I will continue to play as much music as I possibly can
